Xinjiang International Coal Industry Exhibition (ICIE) has been hold for 6 sessions successfully involving a total exhibit space of 15,000 square meters. And there will be more than 400 exhibitors from 11 countries and and regions to participate the 7^th session exhibition.

Coal resources in Xinjiang is rich and forecast reserves is about 2.19 trillion tons while account for reserves of coal for 40% of predicted. The growth of forecast reserves of Shull Lake, South Lake and other three big coals in eastern Xinjiang reach 111.7 billion tons .As one of important metallogenic region and resources strategy to succeed district, Xinjiang has caused great concern for the rich energy and mineral resource in recent years.

    Someone from the Development and Reform Commission of  Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region said that, in the 12^th five-years program which is being drafted, the government has altered the position of xinjiang coal resource from reserving base to strategic base for ur reference. According to this, Xinjiang coal will be have big changes and development on the projects to divert electricity from Xinjiang to the eastern regions and coal chemical base in the coming decade.
